The Avenger will replace the Eliminator which was priced at Rs 90,000-odd. The engine of the 180cc Bajaj Pulsar DTSi has been retuned for a more relaxed ride and
power delivery, and will find its way into the Eliminator frame. This makes excellent sense for Bajaj - while the Eliminator
served as a flagship model, the reliability and credibility of Bajaj and its engines now does not necessitate a Kawasaki heart.
Power characteristics are expected to remain more or less the same, but the change of engine will reduce prices by
about Rs. 30,000. That will mean a real-value Rs. 63,000 motorcycle, and it has the potential to turn to be the best (overall) cruiser in the Indian market.
The 180cc engine will offer sufficient torque on demand, and looks are expected to be exactly the same, apart from the engine which fills up the space quite well.
We will keep you posted on any developments, launch dates and pictures on this page.
